Dear Eva,
I haven’t laughed this hard in a very long time. Daddy and I are hanging out with friends and having a blast! I know that you are smiling down on us, and laughing with (or at) us up in heaven. We are having a really good time. Tons of laughs, and a few insults, mostly at your Daddy’s expense. All in good fun!
Sometimes it can be hard to have fun. Tonight is an easy fun, though. I never knew how hard having fun could actually be until you left us. Sometimes it takes every effort to smile, let alone go out and have fun. Today has been a really easy day. I thank you for that, little one. After a very hard, very long week this is a really nice release. I think you knew Mommy needed to let go and have a good time. Even if it takes a few drinks for me to get there.
I am so very thankful for the good friends that surround us and don’t judge us when things get hard. Friends that have your picture on their fridge and that love you as much as we do. Friends that support mommy when she needs a break to write. Friends that understand why we need them so very much. This tough time has brought us closer to so many people. You really do learn who will be there to catch you if you stumble.
Thank You Baby, for teaching Mama hoe important it is to step back and have a little fun! Love you to Heaven and back!
